When the problem matters and the solution is not clear.

I work with organizations facing complex and poorly structured problems. I help understand them, reduce uncertainty, and build viable responses by combining analysis, engineering, software, data, and artificial intelligence when they add value.

Situations

Before looking for a solution, it helps to understand what is happening.

We do not know how to approach it

There is a real need, but no clear path yet. The problem may require strategic analysis, organizational redesign, engineering, software, data, artificial intelligence, or a combination of several approaches.

We have already tried and it does not work

There is an initiative, a solution, or even a prototype, but the result does not respond well to the original need, does not scale, or cannot evolve reliably.

We need to build a new capability

The challenge does not end with solving one isolated case. The organization needs to develop something it does not have today: a way of working, a process, a platform, a product, or a technological capability.

We do not know where the best opportunities are

There are possibilities in automation, data, artificial intelligence, processes, or new products, but there is not enough clarity to decide which have real value, which are feasible, and which are worth exploring first.

How I work

Understand, represent, investigate, decide, materialize, and validate.

I do not start from a solution. I start from the problem and from what we still do not know about it.

The starting point may be a pending decision, a process that does not work, an architecture to define, or a hypothesis that needs validation. What matters is maintaining coherence between the problem, the vision, the design, the implementation, and the value to be obtained.

The outcome may be strategic, organizational, or technological: from a decision, governance model, or operating model to an architecture, prototype, MVP, or working solution.

Not every engagement needs to go through the whole path. Sometimes it is enough to understand or represent the problem better; other times, the response must be accompanied until it works in real conditions.

Experience

Different contexts, a recurring pattern.

My background combines applied research, industry, software, data, and artificial intelligence in contexts where the solution was not predefined.

  • Scientific research and complex systems Analysis of large scientific datasets, simulation, unsupervised learning, pattern detection, and representation of complex systems.
  • Industry and operations Quality problems, anomalies, automation, OT systems, and solutions that must operate within physical constraints, real processes, and reliability requirements.
  • Data, knowledge, and artificial intelligence Machine learning, NLP, generative AI, computer vision, time series, graphs, RAG, and knowledge-based systems applied to concrete problems.
  • Product and capability design From poorly structured needs to conceptual models, architectures, platforms, MVPs, technology roadmaps, and reusable capabilities.
  • Organization and governance End-to-end process design, QA, decision criteria, governance, roles, procedures, and operating models for technology units and projects.

If you have a relevant problem and the best path is not clear, we can talk.

You do not need to arrive with the solution already defined. It is enough to explain what is happening and what you need to achieve.
